Hi Max, this was a great live stream! Not sure if anyone mentioned this but Yoongi actually produced Dead Leaves/Autumn Leaves. And Never Mind is also one of my favourite songs! Never Mind is the song that really made me an ARMY as I was having a hard time and it really kicked my butt into action! Also, would love if we eventually watch a live performance of Ma City as it's a song that really shines when heard live. For years, Jimin stated that Ma City was his favourite song to perform live! And House of Cards actually has a full length version which you'll hear in the next album along with some remixes. And finally, someone else in the comments already mentioned that the older generation thing is only one of the interpretations for baepsae, but it could also be talking about how they had to compete with idol groups in bigger companies with none of the same resources and against large media conglomerates in south korea which basically dominate how much exposure you get to the general public and the media narrative around you. For example, BTS's achievements are normally downplayed and brushed aside by the korean media, whilst smaller achievements by groups from the big 3 are blown up. It's an unfair and frustrating situation and no amount of success that BTS have achieved has changed this. BTS have always refused to play by anyone else's rules but their own and this has made them the target of both the korean and international media and unfair double standards, such as the filtering of their music streams on music platforms. Oh, and I just wanted to say that since you've already watched festa room, maybe you could check out the MTV Unplugged performances.

2022-11-19 04:24:55 +0000 UTCI remember that the Run MV was one of the first music video's I watched from BTS and that was when it really hit me that these guys are different and special, it goes beyond good music and incredible performances. Again I respect yoongi so much, I see a lot of myself in him and so it's so inspiring to see him fight and succeed. I love Butterfly, you'll have to watch a performance or the dance practice for the prologue mix on the next album as the choreo is really beautiful. Also Baepsae always goes so hard, I'll never skip. It's funny though cause the message and lyrics behind it are so deep and powerful but the song is most known for it's spicy choreo. And that is true with jimin, it's like so expected from him to always kill it that it's like what can you even say that you haven't said before. Can't wait for the Festa 2021 reaction, it feels like it's been forever since you did a BTS uncut but it probably hasn't actually been that long lol I just really enjoy them. And I honestly couldn't tell that you were tired so you did well to push through, I guess that happens when you're enjoying yourself. Hope you have a nice time with your cousins, that's so cool that you'll get to see them after such a long time, I also have a lot of cousins scattered around that I rarely get to see.

2022-11-19 02:59:57 +0000 UTCAbout baepsae, I was already in the fandom when the album dropped, and let me tell you, they were sooooo brave for singing this. it was taken as a direct jab at the big three, and I think it kinda was 😂 that glass ceiling must’ve been really frustrating for them. the line “how can we compete when my legs are shorter” has a whole different dimension when you think they were working harder than anyone else but were being blocked from mainstream media and denied of all the opportunities and privileges artist from the big 3 had, it must’ve felt like an imposible fight. This song really solidified my status as army, I couldn’t believe what I was hearing, idols NEVER talked so candidly about this kind of issues, that is a door they opened for the kpop of today.

2022-11-19 02:11:29 +0000 UTCI would say this is probably my favourite Bts album. Nevermind and Butterfly (the prologue version specifically) are some of my favourite songs from Bts. As you probably know, Jimin has a chest tattoo that says "nevermind" and the lyrics in the song say "It’s not easy but engrave it onto your chest" I always think about that when I see Jimin's tattoo and it makes me so emotional because that song is very important to me too and to know it means that much to Jimin as well... and Yoongi wrote it... oh my 🥲

Just as a reminder, some of these lyric video translations can be a little clunky sometimes so if there’s one that seems like there’s a bit of a disconnect, it can always be good to check out the doolsetbangtan translations later. I think in this case some of the Whalien 52 ones were just slightly off kilter in a few places. So glad you guys watched the bapsae dance practice ! (As Alina mentioned to me up above haha) I was really pushing for this, it’s my mom’s all time favorite bts video haha. For house of cards, I only ever listen to the full version of it, I always forget this version even exists haha 😅 Looking forward to the festa drop as well as the finishing up of be-hind ! I actually rewatched you-quiz the other night and I forgot how amazing it is, I think you’ll absolutely love it when you get to it. Hopefully I’ll be back for the live next week! Thanks as always
