The Rise of Bangtan Chapter 5 (Livestream)

Comments

To answer your question about why I am here, I came for BTS and they are my main interest. I don't have the time to check other groups on my own. I listen to a lot of music and k-pop, but I don't necessarily watch interviews or shows of these artists. However, I do enjoy a lot all the streams you do so I discover other k-pop artists (their personality traits I should say) thorough that. Moreover, I used some of the tips you gave us concerning communication and I find your content really valuable. Thank you for your hard work and the fact that you are consistent.

Absolutely. To me his behaviour cannot be justified in any way. Bully all around.

I hope Iris heard them singing later on, how mindblowing their skills became. By the way, Charlie Puth actually confirmed Jungkook has absolute perfect pitch. And Jk, has even kind of briefly said it himself in that one RUN episode. But it seems no one ever talks about it.😄

It really is weird with Yoongi. 😅 Also his members seemed to be surprised by his That that dancing and the choreographers for that also praised him for learning the dance so quickly and he is always like "guys, this has literally been my Job for the last ten years...". And he is right of course. 😂

Maybe I’m alone here but I personally don’t care for AHL, I think there’s a lot better content. I just felt a lot of forced storyline in it, I didn’t always love the dynamic with the mentors as well. I think watching run and some of the earlier gayos are great to see them naturally and see there dynamic with each other.

Thanks for adding some context. I agree that this shouldn't be recommended first or above official content for those new to BTS. From what I've seen so far it's just a fun and interesting companion series for fans who already know quite a bit about the boys and their history. And you have to appreciate the time and effort that went into putting it all together.

Alice

Starting from ep 3 (I think that's when they brought in new mentors) the AHL episodes are quite enjoyable and there are a lot of priceless moments if you manage to get past the first two episodes. Even the cringe becomes endearing later on 😊

the negative feedback she received was because recently there was an announcement that there would be a BTS documentary about their journey coming out on Disney plus and she had kind of a negative kinda childish "disappointed" reaction to it on twitter, almost implying they stole her idea, which is rich considering all the footage she uses is from official documentaries and sources. I also take some issue with people recommending this over official sources because at the end of a day it is a fan deciding the narrative and how bts' story is told, and while i don't think it's a bad series, i don't like the way some fans elevate it above the original content. Don't accuse people of projecting when you don't know the context

I'm also shocked that this has so few views and that I had never heard of the series until I discovered your live reactions to them! Feels like they're being gatekeeped or something lol From what we've seen so far none of it seems over dramatized or like a false narrative is being pushed. I've so far refused to watch American hustle life because most of the clips I'd seen from it looked so cringe and degrading but from watching what was included in RoB it does seem like there were some positive experiences. But overall this style they were pushing at first didn't really fit them and you could see them struggling with that. The boys certainly had to go through a lot in their early years, takes a certain type of person to embrace it and turn it into a learning experience. I've been a fan of many artists in my life but none of them have inspired me like BTS have.

Alice

Minimoni- namjoon and jimin are that duo are not afraid to compliment each other, share their vulnerabilities with each other and also be savage with each other. I love their vlives together. They can talk for an hour about deep stuff and forget they are on camera

Jane Thomas

I agree. Suga’s dancing in That That gave me a whiplash

Jane Thomas

Suga is probably the most underrated dancer in BTS. Max here is the compilation you're looking for...can't wait for you to get to it! https://youtu.be/9VGc-DU61RQ

Hey. She said in her last livestream and a youtube post that episode 23 will be the last.

AlinaMaria

I just went to look and discovered that her patreon has been closed. :( I found this message on twitter. Does this mean she's ending after chapters 22 and 23? https://twitter.com/TRoB_Official/status/1562803547032260608

Glad to hear you are feeling better. I agree with everyone the storyline keep getting better and better. I love the whole series but if I want to say my favorite: there is a set of episodes that divide to tell the story of each member way later. I love those. It will be really cool if Annesa could come. It is sad that some people think she is doing this for profit. I subscribed to her channel and she recently posted a big message saying she is working on the final chapters and after finishing, the money that is left, she will donate.

Jane Thomas

Coolio was borderline bully ...he disrespected them so many times. You can be a wonderful mentor and teacher without pushing people down. Thankfully it gets better.

YESSS American Hustle Life is worth watching. The beginning episodes are a little cringy, but it ends with a BANG! You can see so much humility and kindness in the boys especially the way they deal with not so pleasant situations. I strongly feel you will absolutely love it Max and you will take away a lot from these 8 episodes. Glad you're feeling better too. 😊
