I used to do fundraising for a sheltered workshop. Half the clients there were trisomy-21. A happier, more cheerful and friendly group of people could not be found. You don't know whether to smile back... or weep.

2023-12-09 01:02:13 +0000 UTCWell, they say Jesus was "a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief." I'm guessing all the grief and sorrow came from having to deal with human beings. On the other hand, he also advised people to not go looking for things to worry about, and I have met people who try to follow that advice, so there's that. Fear, itself.
