What's your favorite actually good horror movie? What's your favorite "so-bad-it's-good" horror movie?

My wife and I were sitting in the living room one evening. From down the hall, we heard our teenage daughter let out a terrified scream, and she came running out of her room to us. It was one of those internet shorts.

Couple of Brit films really do it for me; first up is 1957's "Night of the Demon" (released in the US as "Curse of the Demon" but original version is much better): American psychologist Dana Andrews arrives in UK to discredit a devil cult; however... 2nd fave is sci-fi/horror: 1967's "Quatermass and the Pit" (released in US as "5 Million Years to Earth): subway excavators discover a weirdly shaped human skull, and things start gettting weird...and weirder...and WEIRDER... (maybe this should be my 1st fave.) Neither one goes in for blood or gore, the horror is all mood and psychological. As for "so bad it's good," "Plan 9 from Outer Space" is always a go-to, but I'm partial to 1959's "The Alligator People;" any movie where a guy turns into an alligator, even a rubbery-looking one is right up my alley - or swamp.

The best are those internet shorts where you have to stare at the screen, and suddenly a scary face and noise pops up. Gets me every time. So bad it's good?--wait for it--- Night of the Day of the Dawn of the Son of the Bride of the Return of the Revenge of the Terror of the Attack of the Evil, Mutant, Alien, Flesh Eating, Hellbound, Zombified Living Dead
