Almost every job I quit was because I got fed up with incompetent and/or rude management.

2023-09-17 16:06:00 +0000 UTC"Is she hot?" double LOL this morning!!! (2nd one pretty funny too.) I had a part timecopywriting job for a Brooklyn designer lighting fixture company. The company was located in a manufacturing complex where truck trailers were parked diagonally on both sides of the street between the buildings, There was barely enough space between the trailers for a car to fit through so I had to peek past every trailer on my way to the entrance to make sure a car wasn't coming. But wait, there's more: my computer faced a huge, bright window - I had to wear a baseball cap to keep the light out of my eyes. (That's how people went blind working in 19th century mills.) The last straw: I quit the day water started dripping directly on me from an overhead pipe. (Epilog: the entire complex is now "Industry City" filled with high tech & IT companies - & an excellent comics shop. Truck trailers all gone!)
