optimists/morons - another LOL today! I remember seeing my grandmother's glasses and was fascinated because the lenses had cut-off corners. Quite a few years ago she mentioned I'd pulled her glasses off her face and broke them - I asked if they had those corners but she didn't remember; what I SHOULD have asked her was how old was I at the time (she's gone now so I'll never know) but I would have to have been an infant being held close enough to her face to grab them.

My earliest independent memory, as opposed to one my parents jogged later, may be when I couldn't spend recess the way I usually did, because the school had ponies over for rides. Other kids seemed to like this, but I was autistic enough to throw a fit and hit a supervisor, which got me a timeout. For years afterward, I hated horses.
