How could a book about donuts not capture your interest???

2023-07-06 12:07:25 +0000 UTCIn May I started two Kindle books that showed great promise in the Amazon write-up. I abandoned both after a couple of chapters. No matter what they cost me, I will not waste time with a book that does not capture my interest in a few chapters. Laura Thoman: I’ll Stop the World and Joe Lansdale: Donut Legion. I've read a number of his books that I enjoyed. One of the best was James Michener's Mexico. Long, and a little different from his formula with big "place name" books, but it held my interest to the end. A bit too much bull fighting, but even that part was interesting and educational. I've been watching Chicago Fire since its debut, and have come to think of the cast members as people I'd like to know. Even with some major cast departures, it's held up for eleven seasons, and I look forward to its return in the fall.
