2023-04-05 02:58:20 +0000 UTCThunder, and low flying planes. When I was young we lived with my grandparents who lived in South Ozone Park, in Queens. Their house was right in the approach path of what was then Idlewild Airport. I'd always hide under a table they had in the yard. (I'm told, by people who actuallly looked at the planes, that they were low enough that you could see the passengers through the windows.) To this day I still look up when I hear a plane going over.
