2025-02-10 10:51:38 +0000 UTCI had one of those months where I had to re-add the pod to my RSS feed after it stopped updating for some reason, and the first suggested episode on the Patreon feed after I clicked through a few things was the other President Musk one, and I remembered today's episode was a Musk one so I thought it was the same, except this was the one where Tom's wife was sick and i was like, "FUCK, AGAIN?". Onto the episode itself. I think the problem is the Very Online Left, the kind of Left you're talking about, the only thing they're interested in winning is twitter fights. They care more about ideas than they do about people. That's why, even with shit like Gaza, it's less about making a better world and more about screaming at people who mostly agree with you about how evil they are (up to and including posting gore at them). You can't reach those people. You fuckin' can't. Talking with them is an exercise in self-harm.
