Added 2022-09-29 10:00:06 +0000 UTCOK, so as I said this is one of 2 storylines I wouldn't do if I went back in time. My underprivileged child I sponsored was underprivileged, not starving. I paid for vaccines, clothing, school supplies, etc. BUT people thought we were mocking the bloated bellies malnourished people can get (called kwashiorkor) Ugh. :(

2022-09-29 13:41:07 +0000 UTCi went to a big Christian Rock concert in the 1980s and a band I had known since 1974 was a headliner. They showed a film of how the band (all 5) sponsor this child. After the show, I asked 5 guys only sponsor ONE (1) kid and not five. They were offended. Plus, but the late 80s, this was hardly the same band I knw in 1974.. one or 2 original members. It was awkward
