Instead of your vote counting more if you have kids, might as well make your vote count for more if you're a young person. Someone in their 20s has more at stake than someone in their 60s, but the republicans wouldn't like that idea. (Also I think it's a bad idea)

2024-08-05 12:35:14 +0000 UTCI watched a video on TikTok a doctor was speaking to several men in a zoom conference, and the man who seem to be running the zoom call refused to refer to her as 'doctor', regardless of how many times she not only asked, but simply demanded it AND YET YHIS MUTHA FUKA referred to Sebastian Gorka, who at the most, was given an 'honorary doctorate' from some bullshit college, as a fucking doctor. It was disgusting.

2024-08-05 11:39:38 +0000 UTCI too was thinking about how we referred to vice president Harris and I believe that it could be two different reasons men seemingly call her by her first name well (specifically those on the right) because they want to mispronounce her name, since they believe it's funny. Most other men though, might call her by her first name because they lack enough respect for her to refer to her as her title However, when women referred to her as Kamala, I think that that is more a feeling of being personally connected to her as she surely may become the first woman president

2024-08-05 00:54:48 +0000 UTCFucking thank you Tom! It drives me crazy, but the truth is we call female politicians by their first names, and male politicians by their last names. I felt like I was going insane during the 2016 election when I was the ONLY person I ever heard referring to Hilary Clinton as Clinton and not Hillary. I honestly think it's an unconscious failure to pay the same respect to women that we do to men when they're in positions of power.

2024-08-04 19:19:21 +0000 UTCThe Vance kids and voting is bizarre. If my kids are on the honor roll, should my vote count for more than the one with a kid in juvey? If I have twins or triplets should my vote count for more than a single birth?

2024-08-04 18:04:32 +0000 UTCI also have fallen into the habit of calling Harris by her first name. Great observation guys! I'll be changing my language when talking about the candidates.
