We bought a washing machine that is "smart." You download an app to monitor and control it. It works on NFC only, not WiFi, not BlueTooth, not cell towers. You have to get your phone 3 inches from the controls on the washer washer to control it remotely. What was the point? Imagine, you think "Huh! I wonder if the washer is done. I know. I'll get out my phone, walk to the washer and check it. The app will know." The noise it makes travels farther.

Wondering, Cecil. Did you mean Home Cut Doughnuts on Jefferson? They were the only good doughnut place in Circle’s neck of the woods. The doughnut you were describing they most def had. They also had a toasted coconut I still pine for. Their French Cruller was unmatched as well.

Will say that those apps that remind you about laundry are great for ADHD people who get time blindness or accidentally hyper focus on another task while they wait for the laundry to be done. My husband would LOVE that.

Cecil, you are wrong on the danish, but you both are 1000% correct on the Dunkin. It’s swill that doesn’t even wash down the gritty bland gruel they try to pass off as a donut.
