Age of empires is how I spend my high school years!! I would come home and start the PC and played for hours sometimes lying that I already finished my homework 😅 it was a perfect game for me because I wasn’t good at games that required any kind of dexterity.

I played the shit out of Parasite Eve 2 and so turned based games weren’t a total turnoff for me but that game was all hype. They’re not even sequential and that frustrated my young autistic brain and it still does tbh.

2023-06-23 22:02:03 +0000 UTCI was in South Carolina, and had been in the ocean several times. However, a hurricane was coming, and we were told we'd have to evacuate 4 days ahead of landfall. I went down to the beach (which had no lifeguard, and was abandoned), and I waded out to ONLY mid-calf level. The waves swept me off my feet, dunked me under the water, and tumbled me around. I was barely able to get my head above water before I was dragged under again, much farther from shore. I had a moment of mental clarity when I got my next breath: "If you don't start using all your swimming lesson information from your childhood, and starting fighting like hell to save your own life, this is where you die." A few minutes later, I was able to crawl back onto shore a few feet above the tide line, and I had to lie on the sand, choking and gasping, for a few minutes before I could get up to stagger back home to finish packing for the evacuation. Scary as HELL.

It's a Real time Strategy, I'm guessing Cecil has heard of it. Setting the enemy Ai to the lowest and having a Coop game is a relaxing experince. Also... Diaiblo 4 is out lol Last boss is easier AND you can get friends to help you!

2023-06-23 07:05:57 +0000 UTCThe Hardee's "reboot" was their merger with Carl's Jr. That's why they have the same logo, color scheme, and now menu. So those "awesome" new Hardee's menu items are from Carl's Jr. They're a West Coast (maybe now East as well) chain. I grew up in the Midwest and only knew Hardee's. When I moved out to the West Coast, I saw Carl's Jr. everywhere but no Hardee's (and this was before the merger). When I came back to visit my folks and saw that the local Hardee's had transformed into a Carl's Jr. in everything but name only, I looked it up and found up about the merger.

2023-06-22 18:50:35 +0000 UTCSocial pressure to drink is a big problem. I've had more than one job interview where we had meals with the hiring committee. Multiple times I've been told some version of the passice aggressive "I don't know if we can trust someone who won't have a drink with us...hahaha." Explaining that I just really hate the taste of alcohol across the board gets such weird reactions, I just started saying "I'm sober" and that cuts it off. People are more accepting of an "I'm a recovered alcoholic" than they are "I just don't like alcohol."
