Pffff! One of the best parts of being an adult is that no one can ever again compel me to show my incompetence at any sport. I mean, the other good part is being content enough with myself that it doesn't upset me anymore, and being able to choose to surround myself with people who aren't unkind or mocking about how pathologically uncoordinated I am. But all that came concurrently or after my being able to opt out.
