When the MIT happened, I found out about it when it splashed across all of the TV screens at the PX. On the drive home the next day, the BBC was talking about it on the radio. They had an American woman on for perspective. She talked about moving into "the city" when she was single and people told her to get a gun to protect herself. She almost used it once. On herself. She was depressed and wanted to end it all and nearly killed herself. She got rid of it afterward. She said, "I was not in my right mind. You have to understand, these people are not in their right mind." Which is entirely correct, but not the same thing as "insane" and incapable of comprehending the consequences of their actions. These people do understand and that is the entire point of the mass shootings. Many of them don't want to suffer the consequences and either take their own life or make sure they aren't taken alive.

What a coincidence that you guys address the gun rights argument from a left wing standpoint right after the CogDis fan group kicked a troll out for making the claim that it would put vulnerable communities in danger. What that troll also failed to realize is that schools are also vulnerable communities but screw them, right? Glad you guys brought this up.

I don't think that releasing school shooting scene photos will help. The footage and images that came out of Bucha recently were poured over by laypeople, looking to prove what they already believed about the situation. They made hay out of a corpses hand appearing to move when it crossed the rounded edge of a moving cars mirror. I think releasing those kinds of images would provide fuel to those who are desperate to find a reason to dismiss it.

For what it's worth, during Matthew McConaughey speech it was his wife that was holding the shoes. Not the mother of the child. It was really a good speech and very powerful. In case anybody missed it, here's a link: https://youtu.be/JF_oxFW-b7Y

I missed the live Congressional hearing and watched the CD version over the weekend. Thank you guys.
