My Cage "Classic" 09/06/2007
Added 2021-03-04 14:13:28 +0000 UTCI originally wrote the strips to be very deadpan. I thought of it like "If children book characters where written by Harvey Pekar." Later I started writing it like "What if cartoon characters had to work in an office". I think that fit the art better and I wish I'd done it earlier.

My knowledge of Pekar is limited to "American Splendor," which failed to convey to me why he was popular.
