Poor vicious little lovebird. They aren't meant to be locked in a cage by themselves

Mara S.

I cried too....

Chad from Cincinnati

Loved the episode! Although I'm a bird lover xD I'm a bird photographer xD not by trade, though.

Tom is 100% correct. Birds are dirty, parasite infected creatures. Hate the idea of touching one so much! Beautiful to see from a picture, just never want one near me.

Covid 19 is an upper respiratory virus, ass to ass is probably the safest position you could go for, just don't sniff the implement post coitus.

Hi from Emmett, Idaho. Population 7000 ish and home to no other than super duper smart guy, Amon Bundy! I literally live about 7 houses away from his building where he held his Easter service yesterday. We drove by for shits and giggles to watch some of the train wreck in progress. It was nice to see all the super smart folks out front hugging and cheek kissing one another during the pandemic, while Bundy stood the blowing a Rams horn over and over... Not joke. A literal fucking Rams horn. Needless to say, things in ol' E-town here are very very far from progressive...

About the chicken issue: I manage a feed store where we sell baby chicks and also vegetable plants. No one has mentioned feed stores as being essential, but considering that animals also have to eat, here we are, still doing business and a lot of it. Anyway, when things go to shit, it’s our time to shine because people want to produce their own food in times of uncertainty. Chickens, edible plants, and the necessary supplies are absolutely flying out of the door right now. It isn’t so much of a companionship issue as it is a boredom / “egg shelves are empty in the stores” issue. You could easily get $40-$50 each for young laying hens right now. It’s INSANE.

Jesus. Sorry for the rant but it's something that's close to home for me. All that said, go donate if you can!!!!! Centers need blood now more than ever!

Ian (no, not that one)

So the gay blood restriction actually has, or at least had, a decent base. Most blood centers are non-profit, but still have to test every donation (that's why they take a few vials before starting the procedure). And every test costs money in the test and in the materials they use (vials, lab equipment, technician's time, etc). If the test comes back positive for this, that, or the other disease or defect, you have to throw out that donation. So if you have a population that has a higher percentage of having a disease like HIV/AIDS and need to make your dollar go as far as possible, it's most effective to simply ban that particular population from donating. It's callous, but it's life-saving math. Every donation that's thrown out isn't going to a patient who needs it. And blood is short enough in the US already. It's the same reason that people who were in England during Mad Cow can't donate, people who take intravenous drugs are turned down, and even people who have just lived abroad for too long (I'm permanently banned myself because I have lived in Europe for too long). It's not "ew gay". It's "your blood is above the acceptable threshold for risk for us to accept and we need every donation to have the highest chance of being accepted." Sources: https://www.hiv.gov/hiv-basics/overview/data-and-trends/statistics Asked a phlebotomist about it during a donation once (I know anecdotes are terrible evidence but that's the explanation they gave)

Ian (no, not that one)

Hate to be a downer about the gay blood donation change, but it’s still pretty damn bigoted. Before the change, any man who had sex with another man within the last 12 months wasn’t allowed to donate. The restrictions they’ve lifted are that now you only have to be celibate for 3 months.

I was planning on building a trebuchet this summer, but now I want a guillotine.

This episode started to remind me of the perseverance porn episode, but did an excellent job of being positive (more than usual at least) but not fluffy BS.... The article from the perseverance porn episode is below. https://fair.org/home/media-just-cant-stop-presenting-horrifying-stories-as-uplifting-perseverance-porn/
