My Cage

I was thinking about fleshing each character's story out, and maybe develop each character differently! I would actually like to see Bridget learn about Norm dream about Ashley and how she would react to that. Maybe Bridget would watch Ashley a bit more closely. How about Ashley plays Bridget's emotions to cause some chaos in Norm's home? Also, I want to know more about Ashley, and how she got so fixated on Norm.

I like the idea of team ups, but we'd have to worry about copyrights and such. Even when we teamed up with Slylock Fox it was easy because we were both at the same syndicate. Even then though, our planned appearance in Slylock was canceled by our editor because he thought the 'My Cage' characters were too adult for the Slylock strip. We'll see.

My Cage

I also am fine without having human history fleshed out. Like everything that happened far in the past, we don't have a particularly clear picture. So long as it doesn't affect the characters, it's not particularly necessary. More Lily would be good. I'm especially looking forward to seeing her interact with Sunny and Norm's kid. We could also know a lot more about characters' lives outside work; do any of them have hobbies or hangouts beside the bar? What was Ashley's family like to give her the attraction to unhealthy relationships? Etc. I understand fully if you're leaving some of these as mysteries on purpose, these are just some uncharted areas on the edge of my mental character map for this strip, that's all. You're doing great, keep up the good work.

Especially a crossover which fuels Josh Fruhlinger's theory about Slylock being after the animals rising up in the ashes of the apocalypse of humanity.

That Bridget cosplay you posted was kind of like one of Norm's weird stories come to life. What if he has dreams of his mashup stories using all the other characters as the cast?

For crossovers (when possible) Pogo and Shoe are good anthropomorphic candidates

I would like to see the birth of Norm and Bridget's first child before 2015 is over. Another future storyline is with the many crossovers the Dick Tracy comic strip had over the past few years (Little Orphan Annie, Funky Winkerbean, Barney Google, the Jumble puzzle artists) there should be a plot where the My Cage characters enter a human world and meet up with Dick Tracy.
