So on the topic of suicide and slavery, during slavery in the US and Haiti there were actually specific regions of Africa that we're avoided for taking people from to force into slavery because in that area they had the religious belief that when you died you were reborn in your homeland. Motherfuckers would just off themselves without hesitation and ironically it actually probably saved many people from their tribe back home.
