More STCTP soon!

I expect you've noticed there hasn't been any STCTP in a while. You'll know why, if you're in the Discord, but for anyone here who isn't, I suddenly remembered you should have the explanation too!

So it's two things. The first one is that we (that is, me, (that is, Dave,) and Abby,) got what I like to call "soft-evicted". Papers weren't served (as far as I know), but various bad things happened to our landlady and she couldn't afford to remortgage the flat, which meant she was going to lose it, and we were going to have to leave.

Well we've done that, but it set me back a number of weeks of work, so I knew there'd be a delay on STCTP #134 - but that's not all!

Due to a mishap, they failed to give us internet at our new place for a couple of weeks after we moved in. During that time we had trips to make and all sorts of unpacking and ferrying about of boxes to do, and the upshot of all of that is that I only got my PC rebuilt a few days ago.

And that's when it turned out it had not survived the journey.

Now! All the files are (probably) fine, and the stuff I use to make the podcast with is either fine or replaceable. But I do have to get it up and running again if I'm going to start uploading episodes properly and certainly if we're going to record the next ones. It's looking like the culprit is the CPU, so I'll have to replace that, so that's me three hundred and something out of pocket before we even find out if I'm right about it being that. If I'm not, the motherboard, another three hundred odd.

So it'll get done, but it's a Process. Once it's done, then I'll be able to dive right back in, I've got a lovely little office set up in the new flat and I can really hammer my way through a couple of episodes faster than usual to try and catch up, but expect us to be behind release date very slightly for a few episodes until I can get it fixed. Also, as soon as we're up and running we'll have a "celebration" Secrets of Mobius stream (well it'll be a celebration for me, anyway).

Wish me luck! I'm hoping to avoid an eight hundred quid full upgrade like I had to do in 2020 the last time this happened! Tell you what though, the inside of this thing has never been so dusted. If it ever runs again it'll run like a dream.


Oh! And! In the move we found LOADS of old Sonic stuff that you're going to be interested in, including full issues of the Sonic fancomic me & Abby made together before we had to get jobs, and plenty of scripts for issues we never drew. You'll love it!
