Jo, Temp in Hemp for Xmas - One of the Gang
Going to the christmas party had seemed like a good idea to Jo. Sure, after working at the office for a month or so none of the other workers really liked her much...
Probably since she'd lost them like twelve important accounts in that screw-up with the mail.. or maybe because half the office had been forced to move their desks super close together because of the incident with the water cooler... or maybe because of that time she'd accidentally let the roof exit door close after the smoke break and locked twelve of them out for most of the day... on the snowiest day of the year...
But still, no better way to make friends with people than over a few drinks, right? And free drinks, at that!
And it had gone OK until she'd pounded about 9 of those free drinks, and then spilled the 10th one over the main server. The realization that everyone would have to come in on monday and spend the first week of christmas vacation setting everything right had really changed the mood of the whole party.
Pin the tail on the dummy, buttkissing under the mistletoe and all-vs-one-tied-up-Jo snowball fight were just some of the games Jo was forced into that sobered her up real quick...
Now, as the others have left for afterparties and a woozy, half choked Jo is left on the floor, she tries to see the positives in the situation.
No doubt she'd get fired on Monday, but she hated the job anyway! And she was pretty sure she'd been at the office long enough to get a chunk of the christmas bonus!
So she just had to hold out until the cleaners came to clean up in a few hours, and she'd have a great christmas vacation ahead of her!
Because, she thought - and she could feel her positivity starting to falter - it was Saturday mornings the cleaners came in, right? Not... Sunday? Not Sunday... evening?
Oh.. oh no.

Also, I was probably meaner to Jo in this pic than ever before! Staples and thumbtacks and stuff?! Holly in the front of her underpants?! Ooouch, those office workers just don't know when to quit! Leave Jo alooone! :O
