Hey Z, appreciate your review. I purchased the Minorca MC40 (based on your previous review). Was a real upgrade compared to the Klipsch RP600M II. Then I saw that Upscale sells an amplifier called the Abyss which works with their external speakers. It has all the same functionality that the Rialto has built in but you can use it with any set of speakers. (But has specific settings for their speakers). It really improved the soundstage, bass and clarity to the MC40s. So this could another option for folks where you spend between $2500 or more depending on what speaker you wish to add. :)

Only two months ago I bought the full size Cabasse Pearl, AUD $5.5k plus a stand nearly 1k, except it never turned up, couldn’t contact the local distributor, exhausted all avenues and lodged a case with PayPal, eventually the local agent got back to me. In short, the local agent had been left out to dry by Cabasse in France. I eventually got my money back and have just taken delivery of a set of KLIPSCH “The Nines”. More details can be shared if anyone is interested. The Rialto are the baby bookshelf version “the Pearl.
