2019-09-03 17:02:52 +0000 UTCStax 252s can be bought separately or in an L300 bundle in the UK. I am guessing that Woo Audio who run Stax.com in the US have removed the 252s because it competes with the woo wee.

2019-09-03 12:40:30 +0000 UTCFor what I know, STAX never sold SRM-252S separately. It can only be bought with the low-end ear speaker as an entry set. Their Japan online store and website are still listing the set as current mode so I think they still produce it. Maybe they stop making the US version since they use a different power adapter.
2019-09-03 09:50:33 +0000 UTCThis is definitely confusing for me living in Tokyo. Because Amazon.co.jp here sells the L300 and SRM-252S together for $600, not just Amazon, kakaku as well. So yeah, it's kinda sad to see them either not available or jacked up in price so much. To clarify as well Stax here does not sell the SRM-252S separately, but when the next driver price is around 800 bucks, why would you not just buy the set?
