That looks like another Jaskey product (big chinese OEM for audio stuff, they did some of the other Sivga (custom work for the SV004 and 007 it seems)/ BossHiFi / other headphone and IEM products. But that headband is Jaskey for sure.

I do sound demo's weeks before the review in most cases. The headphones were broken in and they just get done assembly line style. The REAL testing comes later before the review.

stock pads in sound demo? really? Why did you bitch about so much then?

Well, I hope you're happy, I've been anxiously awaiting this for so long I broke down and became a patron. Take my money. For any of you who've curiously stopped by that Head-Fi thread on these, you've probably already seen a bunch of my posts on them. I've been experimenting with a variety of pads, and the differences are dramatic, but I still haven't found that "perfect" option yet. Based on this I think I'm going to have to pick myself up a pair of those 1540 pads to try out. Despite wavering between love and hate on the sound of these, even with the stock pads they've just got some kind of magic in there that makes me want to listen to them more and more.

I’m already scheming to get these now, thanks to your review... these have been mostly panned on Head-Fi by buyers. It seems there was also a retuned, revised version of this - of the silent variety publicly but apparently acknowledged by the manufacturer if you were dissatisfied and let them know.

The m60x have the width but these are so nice with the wood and the tweeter.. (once pad swapped) . Both actually sort of work for portable. Its a coin toss. I use both now.

I'm still holding out for the Fostex T60RPs. Might as well spend another $100 and get planar magnetic. Plus I get $35 off from Crutchfield from a previous purchase. By the way, I leave the Aqustas plugged in (the Marantz doesn't automatically mute the amp) and they have gotten noticeably better.

I also released this before the Sivga review because I don't have the 007 sound demo done yet. Just know those are very good for the money cans. With two distinct sounds.
