Break Sketches

I may not have been "actively" working- but it's in my nature to doodle. While I was on break, I sometimes broke out a pad of paper and a pencil and just- scribbled- doodled whatever came to mind.

I debated sharing these at all. But- I thought maybe some of y'all would get a kick out of a couple of these. So here they are- a mish mash of all the doodles I did over the past two weeks.

Alright, Back to Work

And so, my mental health break comes to an end. And- what did I learn?

I learned that my brain desperately needs time to just- not think about anything. Not be working, planning, plotting- It immediately becomes more curious about the world and impulsively wants to try new things when I'm not locked in all the time. I got the urge to try out a yoga class, go to a chess club, even wonder if there was somewhere I could get archery lessons. And I was able to actually sit down and watch som...

The First Week Off

Welp, my first week of mental health break come to an end. I was originally thinking that I'd just take the one week off. That that would be enough. And then- I got sick. I ended up spending the whole week in bed or some kind of haze. So, that was less than ideal. It was still a "rest" but I consider it to be much more a physical rest than a mental one. It makes me wonder if my normal (and definitely the abnormal work pace last year) I have makes me unable to regularly rest.

And, here we are- the end of Sub-Station!

I successfully managed to keep it under 20 pages! With a title page and back- it's ready to be printed as a Zine if I wanted! Woo!

This was a fun little change of pace after Maxwell and the Alternomicon. And I'm happy with how many panels I was able to do on some of these pages. Up to 9 of them. Goodness. It was a cool experiment- to just draw more. . . well, vanilla adjacent lemon.

Weekly Drawings! Jan 17th

I may be starting my art vacation, but I've still got some arts to share from this week!

Going on Break!

I've decided- I'm going to be taking a mental health vacation.

There was a big build up of stress and creative burnout that I was trying to ignore over the last few weeks. I thought I could just immediately shift gears to making visual novels while still doing three comic pages a week. Not to mention all the other stuff I was doing. Realizing I was spreading myself too thin has brought me very close to Burnout burnout. So, I'm going to be taking some time off.

This week in Sub-Station! We see Skylar's shift start to come to an end. And, while it was a fulfilling day of work- it wasn't anything special. I guess the magic of being a Sub-Station worker fades once you're actually there... such is life.

Weekly Drawings! Jan 10th

Heyo peeps! It's time for the weekly drawings!

Weekly Drawings! Jan 3rd!

Wowza- that's a lot more than I expected to get done in the last/first week!

Reflecting on 2025

So, it's a New Year. Officially- So, where did we come from? Where will we go?

The past year has been- crazy. I started the year off on an art grant from the FPCC, practicing my acrylic painting and digital illustrations for a portfolio expansion. Sizecon 2025 was a blast, one of my favourites yet. (Looking forward to the upcoming one in March) And- I did maybe my most ambitious project yet. A daily comic challenge.

Sub-Station: 1 - 7

And here we are in the home stretch of the Daily Comic Challenge! Maxwell and the Alternomicon finished with 12 days left in the year- that means I get to do another comic!

And this comic is Sub-Station! Thanks to my friend Jules for the name.

Sub-Station follows a setting where casual kink and sex is so safe and prevalent, it's a whole career to be put into one of these things! Available at convenience stores! We meet our protagonist Skylar and their co-workers.

Drawings of the Week! Dec 27th

And here's all the drawings I did this week! A mix of gifts for my online friens (they liked them ovo) and some random traditional sketches I did while hanging out at the various holiday get togethers this week.

Maxwell and the Alternomicon: 163-169 - End!!!

And, here we are. The end of Maxwell and the Alternomicon.

What a journey it's been. 169 pages of the most ambitious story I've ever put to paper. Well- tablet- but you get the idea. It's turned into such a piece of work- I've got all kinds of mixed feelings about it being over. Things I could have done better- wondering if it's good- knowing that because of the restrictions I gave myself doing a page every day it's faster than it could have been- Is it too horny? Not horny enough?

Art and Brainstorms of the Week! Dec 20th

Not too much this week! As I said last week, it's holiday season! So I'm working on more gifts and stuff that I'll be keeping sekrit until after Crimmas. Just case my friends see my patreon posts XD

But you can see the art I'm making for offline peeps! I finished the two water colours- the Rose bouquet and bunny family~!

And then an immediate switch to lewd brainstorming. Because-

And with that, Toti's finally been defeated!

Returned into the Alternomicon and unable to terrorize the world anymore! . . . For now. Really- if she hadn't reacted to Bal and Maxwell's naivete with such hostility- she may have won. Something future demons will need to keep in mind.

And so with that, we're in the home stretch. For the first time in this daily challenge, I'm actively scripting how long I think the last pages should take. Should just be a week or so +w+

Art of the Week! Dec 13th

It's that time of year again- the time of year that I'm working mostly on Crimmas presents for peeps! So daily draws are going to be a little thinner- as I'm juggling a bunch of more safe for work arts. I'm going to try to take time for myself and all y'all but you can see these!

Decided to be insane and experiment with water colours again.

It's been really interesting trying to draw this action scene. I don't draw a "ton" of action in my normal art life- so it's been interesting trying to translate what I see in my mind's eye into the actual page. It didn't come out exactly as I saw it- and I don't know if I got the ratio of dialogue to action down properly. But it was a lot of fun and I hope y...

It's that time of year again... where I gradually get busier with offline stuff. I'm gonna keep trying to bring y'all fun art to look at, but my priorities are wrapping up my Daily Comic Project for the 5$ Tier Patrons- and getting my holiday gifts done!

But for this week at least, have these pics! A little quick dress design reference, some blueberry shenanigans with Sapphire, a mega fusion, and a shout out to Xtro!

Maxwell and the Alternomicon: 142 - 148

This week's update begins and ends with Toti getting a face full of balloons!

As for the rest of us, we get to spend it inside of the Feet Demon's own personal- Feet Hell~!!!! This whole place is very visually complicated- but I think it was worth it for what I wanted to do with Toti's "Abstract" form. I'm particularly happy with what her "face" looks like- in her pocket dimension.

We've reached the point where I genuinely don't know how long the comic will be. I know what I want ...

Drawings of the Week! Nov 29th

Whoof, that's a lot of drawings!

I'm officially back from vacay, and trying out some a new com method.

First up, the sketches I did this week- some Hazbin Hotel "Sinner" doodles of myself and my friend Bio. A concept sketch for Toti-Ana, the Feet Demon's Character Page for the Maxwell and the Alternomicon PDF.

And then- a bunch of "Wingit" Commissions! The trial run for a method of commissions where the commissioner gives me the basic idea and then I whip it up. No pre-sketc...

Maxwell and the Alternomicon: 135 - 141

Let's get ready to rumble!!!! Let's go fully into the action scene I've been building towards- trying a whole bunch of stuff with these- it's an interesting experiment. Trying to keep it all readable and clear- while still portraying the movement I'm seeing in my head.

Maxwell has a plan... but will it work? With Bal on his side- can they stop Toti once and for all??

Drawdles of the Week: Nov 22nd

I'm finally back from my vacay! I feel refreshed, empowered, alive!!! A bit of an emotional drop after coming home, but, I'll work through it.

Here's some of what I doodled this week- I've been brainstorming a new design for my self insert character- to try to lean more into my "Super Villain" Era- I like the direction I have going >:3

And, I'm doing a trial run of "Wing It" style commissions, so far- I've been enjoying them, I think they're cute!

Maxwell and the Alternomicon: 128 - 134

Unfortunately, the strategy that worked the first time didn't necessarily work the second... it was worth a shot. But with Bal having his back, Maxwell may just pull through!!!

I haven't tried to draw an action scene this long or elaborate in over a decade. It's an interesting challenge trying to figure out how I'm going to be pacing and communicating the movement I'm imagining. And I hope it flows decently!

We're in the home stretch, I hope I can pull this off!

Some Vacay Quickies! Nov 15th

Hullo hullo, I'm still on my little vacay and rest and recovery.

Still making time for comic pages, but not so much the other draws. Here's the stuff I did doodle up really quickly. I hope you like them~!

Maxwell and the Alternomicon: 121 - 127

And here we are! The Magical Guy Transformation! Maxwell has completed his arc and now unlocked the powers of Love!!! But that just means it's time for our climax!

This comic (like the other one) may have gotten out of hand a bit, but I'm really excited about some of these visuals that have been coming with all of the experiments and different scenes.

Sketches of the Week: Nov 8th

Howdy y'all~! I'm happy to say I'm on a little vacay for now. Visiting some frieeeends.

But- that does mean I'll have less art as I catch up on rest.

So we've got a redesign of a character I've been working on, "The Sentinel", a goofy quickie inspired by a party I went to the other day, and some quick horny designs for stickers~!

Maxwell and the Alternomicon: 114 - 120

Max faces his darkest hour- he can't do this, not alone, he hasn't had the training. He can barely use one spell. How's he supposed to defeat a feet dragon!?!?!

But the thing is- he isn't alone- He won over a demonic friend- And just maybe- they can do this!

Here we are- we're entering the climax! The final act! . . . I've also never done an action scene as elaborate as the one in my head. I'll be curious to see how many pages this takes. Can I complete it in thirty pages? Or will...

As well as the complete sheet of all 33 Alternomicon Demons! I'm really glad I decided to do this little daily challenge, it got me all nostalgic for when I used to do my big Halloween Thing. Though I am relieved it wasn't as elaborate, considering I'm still doing the daily pages of Maxwell and the Alternomicon too.

It's a new week, and some new drawings~!

I'm finally done with the Pages of the Alternomicon Daily Series- so who knows how much art will be coming back! We'll see- cause I'm also going on a trip starting later this week. So, who knows how much I'll be working on.
