I have both. Q5 has a better DAC and more power for the amp in addition to Bluetooth. But if you aren't trying to drive higher impedence headphones or planars, and don't care about Bluetooth then Q1MK2 is fine
The only issue is that the amp for both of them sends more power to the balanced output

It's strange. Not sure why, especially for totally wireless earbuds where qualcomms qcc5100 chip is so well suited and so much better than the previous options (lower power requirements, better pairing etc) not sure why, months after announcement, we don't see any examples in the market. There's a dev conference in China next month hosted by Qualcomm. Perhaps someone will attend and let us know the scoop.

My favorite BT adapter (out of over 20). Clean, powerful and lots of control in the app. These guys got it right.

It has been a while since I spent time with them so I don't want to say with certainty that those are what I would take.

This review is upcoming?

But the top expensive closeback headphones for mixing-recording-mastering are the Ultrasone pro 900i , right?
2018-04-11 10:53:33 +0000 UTC
Not the Samson Z55's? Cause you said you have hard time picking between the two of them.
2018-04-11 10:47:19 +0000 UTC
Should all be similar isolation. The 840's are my go-to for mixing.

I like the Q5 for its bluetooth connection. SQ and power are increased also but not enough if you don't absolutely need it.

One more question... M40x - Shure 840 - Samson Z55 Which one has : more noise isolation and more detailed, neutral sound?I have m40's and I'm recording my instrunment through mixer, listening το music accompaniment. The m40's do great job on mixing-recording-mastering, they are very detailed.

It's expensive! Is It worth getting Q5 over Q1 mk2 for better sound quality or they're have the same?

Received. Not fully reviewed. It is great. Expect a GOOD review.

Are there 2.5mm bluetooth units doing the same good job?
2018-04-08 09:48:58 +0000 UTC
The two identical $30 units are what do the best job. Easy 40 feet through walls.

Zeos which combination of mpows gives you the most range? There are so many different versions out there!

Yes and no I guess. Got mine via indegogo a week ago. Should be available very soon. I own the mpow mini streambot and it's a nice unit but it really can't compare to the EarStudio. EarStudio is SO much better.

@Zeos - what do you think is holding up the adoption of BT 5.0? It's supposed to have better range and throughput and Samsung has had it for a year.
Why wouldn't B&W put it in their new PX or Sennheiser put it their new 4.50BT? Then they could claim "best in class specs" and charge more...
Using a 4-pole pair of cans like the clouds wouldn't work as a gaming set to pc through the mpows right? since one has to be dedicated to send and receive?
