Its less to do with that and more to do with cleanliness. And the only Class A ish amp I have is the Spec2 which didn't do a run on this.

Did you hear an audible difference between Class A power amps and the class D ones?

They run the Orpheus too which is interesting.

Oh BTW it also has an XLR input for running something like a Jotunheim directly into it. 3 inputs - Pro iCAN link (on a custom HDMI cable), Speaker In/Out (just like WEE), and 4-pin XLR ( for input from a balanced HP amp).

Check it out! Manual and extensive tech notes posted on iFi-audio.com. REALLY interesting energizer. I would plan to run it from the dedicated link to the Pro iCAN plus possibly with an external speaker amp (maybe the Emotiva A-100 based on your review). If it is as good as the Pro iCAN it should be amazing. It has been demoed at many audio shows recently with the Mr Speakers electrostatic prototype. I have SR-L500's I would use with it but am highly interested down the road in the Mr Speakers Ether ES.

None but I had only a 2 day lapse between having both and sending the demo Wee back.

Also check out the brand-new iFI iESL. An extremely interesting energizer with a lot more flexibility than the WEE albeit at much higher cost ($1399). It is on their website now and just released this week. I have a Pro iCAN which it mates perfectly with so am very tempted. I can also run a speaker amp into it for my HE-6 via 4 pin XLR out.

Have you tried it with the Emotiva A-100? Any issues?

So putting this with Emotiva A-100 would create a great electrostatic amp for $720ish ?
