Developer's Journal 3:26

Hey everybody, I hope your new year is starting off great.

This week I spent a couple of days tidying things up in the wedding scene and then spent some time on copyright fixes.  Remember the James Bond movie posters that I had to replace?  I also had a poster of a James Bond car and some images from a Texas football game broadcast, none of which I had licenses for.  So those have all been fixed now.  I also spent some time updating a few more of Aghavni's renders with her new shape, although I've still got more work to do there.

The last couple of days I've been working on a scene with MC's sister.  Yes, it's a bit of a spoiler that you do meet your sister, but that gives you something to look forward to in the next update.  I'm not going to share any previews from that scene, however, because I want both MC and the player to experience meeting her for the first time.

(Speaking of getting cheap with previews, I'm looking ahead to Episodes Six through Eight, and I honestly don't know what I'm going to do with my Patreon/SubscribeStar for that period, because anything I tell you or preview would be a huge spoiler.  Maybe I'll just post fun pictures of my dogs?)

As Episode Three has taken longer than I hoped it would, I've entered Leaving DNA in the February Steam Next Fest which apparently is a big demo festival for upcoming games.  My Steam demo will consist of Episode One.  Wishlists for Leaving DNA never really took off since I opened my Steam page last May, so maybe this will give me a little boost just before the release.

As for the release date, I will tell you my supporters--although I'm not doing a public announcement yet--that I gave Steam a new release date of March 4th.  I will hit that barring my house getting destroyed by an earthquake.  And hopefully I'll be able to release it to you all even earlier.
