Today we’re working with the letter Q.
Obviously because I’m a human being immediately when I hear Q I think Queen. The few different meanings of queen - like ‘YAS KWEEN’ like in Broad City or my obvious favourite, drag queen.
And then I think of the queen of drag queens, RuPaul.
As a self professed AD tragic, I recently rewatched RuPaul’s Open Door on YouTube. Honestly I can’t say it’s to my taste (or budget hahahahahaha) but I just LOVE that it’s SO extravagant and preposterous? Like what a wonderfully ridiculous place! Just fantastic.
I have also started watching the new season of RuPaul downunder (on Stan!) and I really like it so far! Except I really loved how in the beginning of RuPaul it was so so creative and you got to watch heaps more of the gown construction and makeup stuff and it’s a bit more of a drama now but I still love it.
Another cool tie-in that I can’t BELIEVE has worked its way into this blog, is that a guest judge on the last episode I watched was Adam Lambert! WHO TOURS WITH QUEEN. How has this worked out so well?!?!?
