This is the first time Im watching your react to movie series and its nice to just listen to someone talk through some of the tension and cut the scene up with the same emotions we may have had. I watched the original and it was a nice comparison sans the fact it was put in two parts. Seriously though, this movie originally gave several hundred thousand people coulrophobia. I laughed through the commentary on the trail of blood. And also there's so much more graphic violence in the movie, and sometimes I wonder if it takes away more than it adds. And yeah, Derrys a blight. Everyone sucks in Derry though, "It" may play a part of that. Sort of a "It" thrives in places of depression, grief, fear. So 1988 small town with a history of ironworks and tragedies seems a great place to start. Wild that the new kid also would be arriving tail end of the year and then be expected to have people sign a yearbook. I did think they did a good job lingering on fear and the weird feeding "It" took by bringing them to the brink of fear. Also, I've never read the book, and may not 🤷♀️ I too know about that one scene, but id rather commit 3 hours to this than 12. Thanks so much for the movie reaction!
