Not finished June art

I gave up on this till I end my current big animation. I am so tired, I thought it will go easier but I've worked 12h daily for the last week and I cant anymore xD I wanted to create a cute dating scene with Yue but my skills weren't enough yet!   

I even can show you some progression on this. Like Ive started with a background idea and sketch placing, I do not go too accurate with it cause I usually work like that xD

I was like ok lets start. But how? Ok, I went to see how to make a city in Blender and found out that there are some ways, Ive decided to try random procedural generated city and It went okaaaay-ish?

Tho I was not completely satisfied with this result soooo Ive decided to try another fancy method which uses real maps, sounds cool right? I thought so to buuuuuuut Ive ended up with this. BEHOLD Ekaterinburg xD

I must admit that actually Ekaterinburg is a very beautiful city, you can google it!
So Ive decided Im going back to the method one. After few suffering hours (actually I was completely lost in time, my homies just grabbed me out of PC when I was close to 3am etc without noticing ;_;) I ve done a form of the city which I pretty much like. I wanted it to be a modern but the same time very green city but at the end I didnt like this concept too much.

At some point I even considered to make it day, not a night. Ive done a test layout for it and I still thinking about it. Maybe day time maybe night but closer view, maybe continue my suffering - cant decide yet x3

Btw Ive tried to add more stuff, like that ferris wheel and more buildings so it look more realistic(?) but Now I stuck with lights. I really want to make streets shine but cant do that yet. Will try more later of course. I'm also not very happy with the sizing. Like I wish to make buildings look smaller BUT the bridge then becomes enormous. And if to make bridge smaller I dont like the look at all ;c
Ive stopped at this state, thinking or replacing most of my buildings, making them look better. Far windows looks too big for me. Also no skybox and no details yet.

Thats all so far. I really didnt think it will take THAT much time x_x But the good point is Ive learned SO MANY stuff, omg. I still will be making backgrounds for my tribal animation and it will help me soooo much, Prob will go 100 times faster now xD
Btw Im tired, will make myself some onigiri today as a treat🍙 And going back to finishing animation!
