We hadn't familiarized ourselves with Green Lantern at all so those references were kind of lost on us but that's really funny that they included them. Thank goodness for that leak since it gave the world this great movie!

2025-11-25 03:39:53 +0000 UTCI haven't seen this since it was released. There were a few references to Green Lantern - a photo of Ryan Reynolds in costume and a joke about the CGI suit. Also, there's the official test footage for the Deadpool movie on YT. It was leaked before the film got the green light. Basically, without that leak there would be no movie because R-rated comic-book adaptations were virtually non-existent at the time besides Blade and Watchmen.

2025-11-24 22:08:03 +0000 UTCVery very basic run down is that this is the most comic accurate version of Deadpool (advanced healing factor, fourth wall breaking, multiple personalities) and they honestly just screwed up the character in the earlier X-men movies to make it more “edgy”. So they will reference that and Green Lantern which Ryan Reynolds also did (and was a famous box office bomb) so I’m not sure if you want to watch that or just a YT video about it to spare yourself. Also before watching Deadpool 2 I’d highly suggest watching Logan because they spoil what happens in it and it’s a big spoiler for the X-Men in general. Love the video!
