Site Update - v1.6.0 History
Added 2025-12-20 19:16:14 +0000 UTCThe end of the year is upon us and unsurprisingly it got me in the mood for looking back. But the old History tab was a bit lacking. It was basically just a straight port from the old site, and I knew I wanted to go back and give it an overhaul at some point. So I decided to take a detour and do just that.
The main addition is you can now filter each year by platform and milestone type. Want to know what PS2 games you finished in 2022? It's never been easier. There's also some new stats that track things like "did you play the games you bought?" and what platforms you were most active on.
There's still a bit of polish I want to do, but the holidays are approaching and Xmas gatherings have left me with a nasty cold, so expect a follow-up update in the new year. If you have any ideas for other stats you'd like to see in your History tab, let me know and I'll see about including them.

Oh, I like the next/previous year button idea. I'm sure I'll add more ways to compare things over time as well.

2025-12-23 11:08:33 +0000 UTCI'm liking the new history layout so far! I always appreciate more ways to visualize my data. I have found a strange bug, though. Entries made on the first of the month show as the previous month despite being in the right order (ex: February 1 becomes January 1, May 1 becomes April 1). Filtering Status by "Complete" seems to just show "Beat" results. I also agree with Native Jovian about wanting to compare multiple years all at once.

2025-12-21 11:30:14 +0000 UTCThe only thing I miss from the old version of the history page is being able to compare multiple years at a glance. The history overview chart is nice but only has net backlog size instead of the whole added/started/beat/completed/etc graph that used to be there. Possibly add that into the chart somehow? Or just make "overview" another dropdown menu with history chart/multi-year display as separate options? I'd also appreciate previous year/next year buttons at the bottom of the per-year history page, so I don't have to scroll all the way back to the top of the screen to change years. Overall great job, though! I definitely appreciate the more detailed history in general. Those two things were the only issues I noticed.

2025-12-20 23:51:59 +0000 UTC2026 - Year of the Backloggery Getting Fancier and Fancier! Great work as always, and I really like the breakdown additions within the History tab. Especially love the Played What Was Bought...I'm guilty of buying games and letting them sit way too long! *cough Breath of the Wild *cough

2025-12-20 20:54:36 +0000 UTCThe history entries are unlimited now, but anything that was bumped off on the old site is long gone unfortunately. If you saved old memory card pages like I suggested on here from time to time, you can always back-fill data old data by adding milestones manually.

2025-12-20 19:54:28 +0000 UTCThis is awesome, thanks so much!! Is there any chance under the new site architecture that you could ever increase the number of history entries again? I recall they were capped for performance reasons or something like that, and it would be awesome if they stretched back further in time :) appreciate all you do and happy holidays!!
