Quick Update and a Cat

Hey Backloggers!

Just wanted to touch base again as I know it's been longer than expected since the last update.

I thought the Likes+Badges update would go relatively quickly, but unfortunately I've ended up having to rewrite a good chunk of the multitap code to get everything working to my satisfaction. Replies, for example, will now be written in their own popover instead of being awkwardly jammed under the post being replied to. The UI has been rearranged a bit to better make room for badges and just be a little cleaner overall.

I've also taken steps to make having robust information popovers easier to implement across the site. This will be nice for both likes and badges, but I'd also like to start using them more elsewhere to let new users access explanatory text easier. I've not talked about site numbers much, but new signups have been steadily increasing every month since the remake launched. Anything I can do to help reduce the number of support requests I have to handle will be a great!

Honestly though, the biggest issue has been some grade A writer's (programmer's?) block. Watching the country continue to go to shit in the most breathtakingly stupid ways has had me in a funk, to put it mildly.

But I've managed to get things going again lately. I'm hoping to finish up Likes soon along with a few bonuses and bug fixes. I'll be posting that update as soon as I can and split badges off into their own update to help move things along.

TLDR:
