Patron's Choice #2 - Badges VS The World

It's time once again for you to choice the next major update to the site. While that's happening, I'll be spending the rest of this month focusing on bug fixes and usability improvements.

How Patron's Choice Works:

• I'll post five options for new features for the site, based on user feedback and my own plans. For now, these will focus on any remaining features people want back from the old site and improvements to existing systems.

• Patrons have a week to vote for one or more options on the poll posted alongside this post.

• The options that don't win will return for the next poll. However, the least popular option will be rotated out and not return for a few polls. This, along with the vacant slot left by the winner, ensures at least two new options every poll.
  

➡️ Please note that an option winning the poll isn't a guarantee of a certain feature being added. Ideas that seemed good in theory might turn out to be questionable in practice, have unforeseen consequences, or unexpected technical difficulties/burdens. That said, I'll do my best to only include options I believe to be both feasible and sound.

The Poll Options:

• Badges, Emoji, and Likes
  Badges and emoji return! If you're new, badges are kinda like temporary achievements with fun icons that are displayed alongside your username. For example, you might earn a badge for beating 3 games in a row without buying a new one. Emoji will include all site icons, like priorities and badges as well as returning ones like statuses. "Likes" would be a new feature and exactly what you think, liking posts on the Multitap. A fun and easy way to cheer on your friends' accomplishments. Actual terminology TBD.

• Widescreen Support (formerly known as "More Info in Home View")
  Did you hear that people want the multitap shown on their home page again? I sure did! If you're on a widescreen monitor, this update will turn those empty page margins into news of your friends' recent adventures. I'm also thinking of moving the navbar to the left side on widescreens. This would likely have a few other layout changes as well as I experiment with things and see what works.

• Platform Summary and Auto-Sort
  This option will prompt a redesign of the Platform Summary and aim to present things more clearly and cleanly. I'll also add platform tallies to the Platform Settings page and provide various options for auto-sorting your platform order, like Most to Least Backlogged, by Total Games, etc.

• Multitap Madness   ✨ New Challenger ✨
  A multitude of multitap modifications! Show multiple similar updates (like a bunch of new games) from the same user as a single, expandable entry. Post game reviews directly to the multitap. Filter to see just your own updates. And the return of a global site feed so you can see what other users are up to.

• Better Lists ✨ New Challenger ✨
  People like lists! But the current implementation is both clunky and buggy. This option would integrate lists into the Library view to give them a new UI and make them more readily accessible. Features include: adding games to a list directly from the game's entry, filtering by lists, showing status totals for lists, and allowing game roulette in lists.

Badges lost the last poll by only two votes. Has their time come at last?? And pour one out for "Colors and Banners" which lost the last poll but will return someday.
