I wanted to apologize for writing so late this month. I'm... still feeling the burnout from working so much and I was prioritizing writing Patrice 5 whenever my brain didn't feel too tired. Because I'm not done yet and that bit of strength I had in me wanted to go that way.

I'm, like, 80% done and I'm almost out of my burnout.

This month was less thinking and more I can't work guilt, I need to rest. It's mostly the writing what's behind schedule, we've got four CGs planned for this update.

I asked Raykyu to increase sprites for Nia, it was about time I'd give her some variety.

Did you guys enjoy TFN? It's been super fun to write that one down and, as a Jam submission, there were definitely some harsher critiques than usual haha. One especially knocked me out HARD, sometimes I feel so dumb; questioning everything I've learned and be like "Maybe I'm not good enough", then I get over it 'cause I like writing too much to stop doing it.

I'll be tweaking the script a little bit.

What about Blake 5? Did you guys checked it out yet? In the past, a lot of people were complaining about the weirdness of the stray cat accident, how it didn't make sense, hopefully this update will seal the deal. I just wanted to add... Blake's own experience of depression isn't made up. There used to be a time in my life where I felt... without purpose. I hated living and having no real objective because nothing brought me joy. It was... awful feeling like I didn't belong anywhere, that I wasn't fit for society and all that jazz.

Writing makes me feel fulfilled, gives me a goal, a purpose. Maybe that's why certain reviews hit me the hardest. They put into question who am I as a person if I can't do this one thing right. I'm sure they didn't mean it, reviews and critiques are meant to be honest and I don't hold anything against them. It's kind of me problem?

So, uhm... September might be a skip month? My husband comes over to spend time together and that means no writing at all. IF my brain can manage I can write an entire update ahead of time to fill the gaps. I'll bring this up again in the upcoming month to track my overall progress.
