Sex with Foes?
Added 2023-04-20 11:30:35 +0000 UTCI'm thinking about a technique that involves pressure points (like in 'Fist of the North Star') and a kiss that results in a very high degree of sexual pleasure and being able to see the person using the kiss in the best possible light (as if they went on a date and everything went perfectly-They said all the right things etc). The result of this technique is that the recipient would be extremely horny for the person using it and would highly desire sexual intercourse with them. The aim is that the technique only unleashes feelings that were already present or possible under ordinary circumstances rather than being a form of mind control.
The result would be a former foe that has now becomes very friendly or at least has a strong desire for more sex-And so is likely to be less prone to evil as well as making a stonger bond with the user of the technique and thus creating a far stronger capture card (the cards work in a similar way to Kazu's link with the Tanuki god-The more intimate the link, the more effective the magic is.
This would ultimately mean that having stripped an oppoent there's the option of going further and instantly seducing them and (if they succumb to the seduction) having sex with them and thus removing or diminishing their emnity or even their tendency towards evil (the power of love etc).
The plus to this is that it could be pretty sexy and fun as an option and I feel a lot of readers would enjoy it. My problem with it is that I definitely don't want the heroes of my comic to be coming across as forcing themselves on anyone. It's important that this is more a very well executed diplomacy check or seduction aided by magic rather than mind control. The magic unleashes love and desire that was already there or naturally possible rather than imposing it. So-What do you guys think?

2023-04-20 23:56:43 +0000 UTCI think it shouldn't completely remove the desire to do evil things from the target unless they were only evil because they were under the influence of some evil being. If they like doing evil things they might still think about doing them but decide they can't because Rath wouldn't like it or maybe come up with a reason, to themselves, why it would be okay, like it would help Rath.

2023-04-20 13:43:41 +0000 UTCThat's true. I think for the technique to be viable you need to have already defeated the opponent. You can't just instantlly seduce Thanos. You'd need to defeat him in battle first. But having defeated and seduced him his outlook might change and he might become less of a threat to others-Or at least more sensitive to the desires of the individual that seduced him (which hopefully don't also include erasing half of the universe).

Someone who genuinely hates the person using that technique shouldn’t be effected and neither should someone who is too powerful or under the influence of something powerful. Example being the Vermin Queen. She was under the influence of the Galanesh stone. My reasons are from a narrative standpoint you don’t want this to become some magical solve everything silver bullet.
