Why I Created the Beginner’s Course for TouchDesigner

I followed a few tutorials, and while they helped me solve a small problem here and there, they also left me with five new questions each time. The more I learned, the more disconnected everything felt — like I was collecting puzzle pieces without knowing what the final picture looked like.
That’s when something clicked for me. I realized that if I kept learning only by copying tutorials — without understanding the logic behind the techniques — I’d never be truly free to create what I had in mind. I wouldn’t have independence, just imitation.
So I decided to build something different. A course that doesn’t rush through content. A space where every lesson is designed to go deep, to explain the why behind each concept, not just the how. I created the Beginner’s Course as if I were teaching myself again from scratch — patiently, clearly, and with care.
It’s been just two months since I launched it here inside Skool, and already over 150 people have joined the journey. And honestly, the messages I’ve received have moved me.
