Episode 3 Devlog #3

Hello guys. Here's what I've done since the last devlog:

Episode 3 development is going good, not as fast as I want it to be but also I've done a ton of things. For the challenge they're filming a mini series with 7 episodes. I just finished writing the 6th episode for one of the routes. The thing that's going to make my job easier is that the script doesn't change no matter who plays what character. So I can just copy and paste it for all the routes once I'm done with episode 7. The thing that's gonna change is the sex scenes depending on who's who so I still have a good amount of sex scenes to describe. They're shorter than usual so I'm gonna try to write 3 a day. Hopefully I can manage that. And then once those are done I'll write the judging, the elimination and test the final product. Then it'll be in your hands to play.

Since this is my first attempt at making a game, the code is far from perfect. Not only that but there are many times where I've forgotten to put a variable. So the code needed a fix but me putting in a new variable in the first two episodes means you'll have to restart. I wanted to make sure this was the last update where you had to restart the game so I put in an excessive amount of variables for every scenario I could think of. And I cleaned up the already existing variable. So now the code is much smoother. 

As I was testing to see if the new code messed up anything, I realized how shitty the writing was for episode 1 compared to what I'm writing now. To make the replay experience less boring and to not drive away new players, I rewrote the first half of episode 1 (everything except the movies). The 4 hookups were not good at all so they got the most amount of love. I was gonna rewrite the whole episode but this update has been delayed long enough so I didn't wanna waste more time.

Lastly, a few of you have been asking for scene guides and a characters tab. And now they're in the game.

Honestly, I'm really happy with how things are shaping up. I'm frustrated that there's still a good amount to do cause I just want to share the update and start hearing feedback. I'm going to try my hardest to get this out in the next 20-30 days but we'll see. 

This is probably the biggest episode of the whole series content wise. I'm gonna try my best to not pass the 3 month mark with the future updates so I'll try to be not this ambitious with the upcoming episodes.

I've been brewing up some ideas for the Patreon exclusive side project so after I release the episode, I'm gonna make a poll so you guys can pick the idea you like the most. The last 4 months of my life's been this update so it'll be a nice break to work on something new. Plus, I can try out new art and writing styles.
