It's a place for me to dump smaller bits of what's going on, and for you to make yourself heard if you're into that kinda thing.

Secondly, this is not exactly news since it's never not been a thing, but we're making much more concrete work on Troika 2 (working title, and like all working titles, likely to be the final title). We've made a prelimary list of Things We Will Definitely Do:

1. Equipment list + prices

2. Sandbox hexcrawl procedures and adventure

3. All new backgrounds drawn from the last few years of play

4. Encounter tables

5. Way more monsters

6. Starter equipment sets to pick from

7. An example of play

8. Dungeon adventure procedures

9. Revise regaining stamina + luck

10. Revise training skills

11. Make henchmen better

12. Include the finished peculiarities as part of a character creation "push your luck" system

Things we MIGHT do:

13. Golden Barges

14. Mass combat

That's the meat of it. The rules aren't changing at all other than tweaking the things listed, so it'll be a proper edition step, not the baby/bathwater thing DND does. Also means every book ever written for Troika stays entirely compatible.

It's a way away yet. A year at least, just from a quick look at our office calender. This year alone I'm finishing up Get It At Sutler's, the still nameless Troika city crawl, Blancmange & Thistle 2, and Gnosis. I have a very unhealthy work pattern where I work on everything at the same time, so it's all kinda come to a head and it's all mostly ready to be committed to a word processor. Exciting right?
