Have you ever wanted to ask a question of the roundtable? As we continue prepping our third-ever Summer Series, we have one more pre-summer show to record and we wanted you to be part of it.
An episode we had planned to tape before a live audience at this year’s NAISA gathering in Toronto before it was cancelled due to COVID-19, we've decided to do it as a podcast. And since our presentation would have featured audience questions at the end, we thought, 'Why not field some from our awesome patrons?'

The MEDIA INDIGENA Roundtable: Independent, Interactive Indigenous Media and Intellectualism
This roundtable discusses both pragmatic and conceptual outcomes of independent Indigenous podcasting, for both media and the academy. There is much overlap on this roundtable between media-makers and academics. Many of us are regularly asked for media commentary on current Indigenous topics; several work(ed) within Indigenous and mainstream print/broadcast media. We'll explore the impact of social media/new media on research, teaching, and public intellectual output and how producing for a primarily Indigenous audience compares to a mass audience.
