The Modica don’t recognise the distinctness of the universe from the matter of the Monad, believing that each person, aeon, fish and rock are equal and indivisible parts of the divine. When confronted with the obvious disharmony of reality they defend themselves with metaphors of sickness in the unconscious body and ponderous parables about the hair on your head and its knowledge of their hair of your toes. Eventually all but the most committed polemists stops listening and concede the point.
