Naruto's special training

Hey everyone! Between projects, I decided to do a special picture for all of you. I always wanted to draw more manga and anime stuff. It's a style I really enjoy but was always afraid to draw. So I've made a new resolution to produce more manga/anime fanart in order to improve my skills in this specific genera. I'm a complete neophyte though, I only watched some of the mainstream and old animes, like Pokemon, Digimon, Naruto and One Piece. This is the kind of exclusive content that will be available here before going out the public in Deviantart.

So what better way to begin this journey than by revisiting my old Naruto piece, submited on my Deviantart almost ten years ago?? Indeed, "Naruto rules" was kinda popular back in the days, but quite simplistic and kind of ugly when looking back at it. With some years of practice since then, it was about time to revamp this old picture, don't you think?

It's been several years since I watched any Naruto episode and I'm way out of the loop by now (I've stopped watching at the beginning of Shippuden). To produce this piece and get the context right, I had to read some Wikipedia pages and souvenirs came back in my head. I'm not sure I'll go catching back on the anime, but I would really like to draw more Naruto fanart (and other animes). Maybe you could help me conceiving my next artworks!

So I worked really hard on this one. I most notably tried to up the game with a more exaggerated and "realistic" anatomy and also with a different coloring style. Indeed, with this piece I've been heavily inspired on a technical level by FoxFire486's art, an artist on Deviantart, from the anatomy to the coloring. I find its rendering completely mesmerizing, I really hope that I'll be someday able to emulate his style. If you don't know this artist, go look at his gallery, he is doing amazing things. I must confess that I simply fell in love with his character Kiari!

Anyway, here I spent a ton of time working on Sakura and Tsunade, neglecting the background as you can see. I hope it won't bother you much and that you will enjoy this piece!  :)

P.S.: I attached a bigger sized pictures, if you have trouble reading the tiny text!
