Even if Aegon does not establish a monarchy he is definitely going to establish something that leaves his family in absolute power or as close to that as possible, which is the reason he is making sure the entire population is indebted to him and his family and views them as close to divinity as possible. I see, he basically plans to turn Lys into a client state and for lack of better terms obeys his all his commands, or else. I'm guessing once he succeeds in that he won't have to buy anymore slave to free them but rather outright take them. Yeah, I can see Aegon's action ruffling alot of feathers, I am curious how Daemon will react, we all know that Daemon always wanted to make a name for himself but as it turns out his little brother who he strongly dislikes to put it mildly will completely outclass him, not only that said little brother will also found a nation and keep it under his full control unlike Daemon who in canon was unable to hold on to the Stepstones. Really want to see what Otto's and Visery's reaction will be as well.

Corinth will be slowly be emptied over time as more and more people move to the new lands. Joanna Swann isn't so much as to help Aegon have people available as it is that she will help build a friendly nation for Aegon. Aegon isn't looking to rule Lys but instead turn into a state under the influence of his people....AMERICA STYLE!

2023-12-06 17:45:43 +0000 UTCI am looking forward to seeing what kind of goverment system Aegon will install for his new kingdom, he will definitely be a monarch so I am guessing an autocracy will established. Still it will take at least 2 years before he can move all his people to the new land.Since he intends for the population and etnicity of his people to be mainly Valyrian, I'm guessing he is going to continue buying more slaves from Lys and in huge number as time goes by. I'm guessing total population of Lys and its entire territory holding is around 2-3 million people. Is there a chance that evetually Lys will no longer will be able to keep up the supplies to the demands that Aegon has, after all Aegon is buying as many young children, teenagers and young adults as he can, the only limit he has at the moment is that Corinth being unable to house them and not enough people availble to instill the societal values he intends to instill in his new citizen, but eventually he will have enough, maybe within a decade. But I'm guessing the plot that Aegon has Johanna Swann involved in is going to help expidite thing for him. I am curious to see how he intends to deal with Slaver's Bay, I know what he intends to do but the how is still a mystery. Also, what sort of impact will his action have in Westeros and the Targaryens that remain there? Looking forward to the next chapter.
