The Flood/Precursors caused the sterility of life in the other galaxies. 2) The Precursors notice a change but they won't notice the meaningfulness of the change until centuries later when another greater change happens. 3) Thanks for pointing out, I'll edit! 4) The Harvest of the Precursors in terms of why they do it is simple...it is how they grow, how they learn, universe after universe. You and I are different to them. They are older than countless of universes, even if they are not the same beings that existed in the previous universes. They are static. They become less static by harvesting new species who are young and have experienced life. The Domain itself is different. This is Death. This is basically the afterlife in this universe. The Precursors don't feast on the Domain the way they do in the physical universe but they do have access to it in some small way thus giving them what they want in a small way. 5) I really meant universes. The Precursors are no joke. The forerunners could travel to other dimensions with ease...they could create whole universes and harvest the energy from it before destroying them...the Precursors basically have created an infinite reset glitch that allows them to live and live and harvest and harvest, never really changing, never really allowing other lifeforms to become anything more than an instrument for their use. 6) Yes. Moira knows. Her mother had been there when the last Precursor was interrogated.

2023-10-05 19:33:21 +0000 UTCAlways delighted with how you can make such meaningful phrases that carry the full weight of what they’re communicating. 1)The monstrous uniformity in many galaxies is the Flood or esterility( bereftness of life)? 2)I think the Precursors don’t notice the changes because they work on a timescale of at least hundreds of thousands of years and also the the universe isn't only the Milky Way Galaxy. 3) The dates in the are varying from 1993 in the first POV to 1992 in the rest. 4) Is the harvest of the Precursors anything more complex than the Precursors driving a species to extintion and tasting a species' existance from the souls in the Domain? Is the Domain nothing but a bag of sweets to them? 5)"their timeless conspiracy that spanned eons in the hope of shattering the cycle before it could begin anew again in the next universe. " Did you really meant 'universe' here or just the Precursors doing it again with other civilisations? 6) Did Moira knew that the Precursors were malicious?

Part of it is subtle manipulation to make sure they do what he wants them to do and make sure they willingly follow his Plan and see what they're up against (the Flood/Precursors) and another part is Atticus kinda wanting to share the burden of facing practically malicious God with his fellow Seers. Also Atticus has told/shown Hypatia about his Future Self (she calls it Dreamwalking bringing her into his full confidence which also indicates that Hypatia and her family are like slightly above Parelius when it comes trust)

I have a fixed ending and scenes but I will need to sit down for a good few days and make sure I'm not leaving any plotholes or unfinished threads. I think I'll probably take a few days off work maybe end of next week or beginning of the following week to make sure I can finish it

Current Atticus knows about them and he is planning against them but you can only plan so much against an enemy you can't foresee. However the devourers (which are the Precursors/Flood) he CAN foresee because they are practically like an ink drop in a glass of water. They are consequential and they are the ultimate evil that they CAN see and that scene is specifically about them being able to work against their subtle manipulations of Fate and how there IS a point of working against them instead of hopelessness that Atticus wanted to make sure his Seers would not feel about the truth about the nature of the universe.
