2022-09-03 14:03:08 +0000 UTCYup! But its a lot of disjointed stuff that I kind of arrange neatly in my mind and then structure it. I might watch / read things on like technology, behaviour, science, politics, sociology etc etc and I ddcide how it might apply to the story and add the pertinent points to my notes. And for example I might think of something now, like a piece of magic or technology and i research it and condense it/twist it to what I want for the story and then put that into my notes as a point to add in the story. I also fit these kinds of things in the main line thread of the story.

I'm having to watch some videos before I sleep on matters such as law and politics and how things are communicated (and also shadier legal practices that i can twist around for the story). There's a lot of research involved. When it comes to magical research and battles, I've gotten through the growing pains there and got tons of stuff on it. But the legal speak, the kind of political play by play is hard to get right at present. Which is a fun challenge but a pain.

2022-08-29 16:04:14 +0000 UTCAt first I was ambivalent about the whole HALO part, but then again it started after your story got its hook on me, so I stayed and I liked the progression of Atticus from "Wanting a small island away from the world" to "become Magical Moses and make an ark for his people". And yeah, you really got me addicted and now I am facing the problem of having read everything too quickly and needing to wait, thank you for writing the story!

You know I started mostly because I couldn't get it out of my head...a story that sees out the potential of a epic set in the HALO universe with a people who could be much more if only nudged in the right direction. To hear that people like where I'm going so much they're willing to pay to support it is nothing but assuaging in that it's a pretty decent story! I can only hope that I continue to improve and write a story worthy of you guys and the rest of the readers!

Similar but different similar to Atticus who obsesses a lot of about perfecting what he can make and grows attached to it. Re: the similarities to the precursors, the forerunners and tthe atlantean's, good catch! Personally I think once a civilisation gets to a stage, i can see them creating new life regardless if its for a purpose or not. Even now we try to make AI despite the risks in it. I can totally imagine us making a new species at some point in our very very distant future if we survive that long

2022-08-25 17:38:29 +0000 UTCI just read every free chapters on a binge and I can honestly say your story wasn't one I was feeling good about in the very beginning, the pacing seem to be way too slow, but I persevered through the beginning and I can honestly say it was the best decision I could have made as I really liked where you had the story go with Atticus' character and his plans, I liked it so much I dropped £6 instantly for the first time to read more of this beautiful story.

The Precursors created the Forerunners to be custodians, the Forerunners did the same with the Huragok. The Atlantean did the same with the Elves and now you have the Illosians with the Seelie. Will the cycle repeat or will Illos break the cycle of destruction.
