TnA Tuesday: Fireworks and Kisses

Didn't quite get this done in time for the 4th of July, but that's okay, it's right on time for International Kissing Day/World Kiss Day (July 6th).

Actually was too full of ideas for TnA Tuesday, Kissing Day, July 4th... just couldn't nail down an idea to commit to.

But then I gave in to some fangirlish shipping... ever since I watched all of season 1 of this particular 1980s cartoon-show I just couldn't help but find subtext. One of the Annuals does list them as 'the Closest of Friends', and not to downplay platonic love, these two just fit really well together in my mind, as a romantic couple, and a pair of dads raising a..."rambunctious"*... orphan and his pet robot, together. I honestly don't find either of them very attractive, but dang if I didn't end up really happy with this, and in my headcanon, same-sex marriage was legalised much sooner in America, and these two got hitched and sent their son off to military camp for a few weeks so they could enjoy a Honeymoon without worrying about him being kidnapped or stumbling upon a bridge smuggling-ring** that doesn't leave witnesses.

*Possessing no survival instincts, common sense nor situational awareness. How is this child still alive? I think he must have eaten 5 leprechauns when nobody was looking, to explain his ridiculously bad/good luck.
**Bridge smuggling would not be the strangest or remotely impossible thing to be smuggled or stolen on the show.
