10 k Subscribers (almost)

Hi friends. I'm less than 100 subscribers away from reaching 10 000 subscribers on my YouTube channel and it's mindblowing to me. And, as you might know, most of my recent videos are already getting view counts far higher than my subscriber count. 

That's not very common. I know this might not mean a ton to you and it won't really change anything in how I do my content and my videos. But 6 months ago I had less than 1000 subscribers and my health meant I couldn't make time for even a part time job and I was quickly becoming broke. 

But I could do youtube, after 7 months of rest at least. I could set my own time to work, my own workload and so on. I did it then so I could build up my energy and work ethic to eventually get a "real" job. But then I started to grow! My patreon began to grow too. And just when I felt that my health was good enough to actually get a part time job (I'm still on sickleave technically) my patreon would pay my rent and my monthly bills. 

Now, I don't need to get a part time job. I can sink more time into making youtube videos and take time to rest and recover my health. I don't have to worry as much any more. And that is all thanks to you. I cannot tell you how grateful I am for that. Sure, I live cheaply, but I can afford decent food, medicine and to go out with my friends every now and then. 

Unless something awful happens I'm probably gonna reach 10k subscribers when my next video releases. (Which is gonna be soon btw, don't worry <3) That's wild to me. To celebrate I was planning on doing a special video essay. Which I guess will be my video after my next one then! I'm also gonna do some sort of stream maybe? But that's after I reach it with a slight margin. 

But I also promised merch! So I got myself a merch shop. It currently has one design and will probably not be updated in a while. But I made a design based on a thing in my most recent video that I wanted as a t-shirt. So I made it!

I get an extremely small cut of sales, so it's only for if you want to have something like it for yourself. It's not even branded with me! That's probably smart merch design.

Anyway. This journey has been incredible. I'm actually living my dream job right now. I might not do it forever obviously but for me it's been a godsend for me in a time of crisis. I have no idea where or what I would be without you. I realize I'm super lucky by being able to do this so I hope that as I grow I will eventually be able to pass that luck along to more people. 

In the coming days I'm gonna be releasing my next video on Jordan Peterson and Language, I'm also gonna do some more vlogs on my casual channel because I want to do that too. I'm also gonna try to stream more video games on my twich. 1
