New Art


We are working with a new artist and his art makes us happy. He goes by RW and is providing a tremendous help on the introduction cutscene of the game.

Dates with Vicky

Everyone's favorite functioning alcoholic is coming along nicely. We've written through date four, and even added date five, for an in flagrante delicto capstone to the romance. So we can now proudly announce that everything for the first release is planned, it's just a matter of putting it into the game now.

What's more, Doodles straight-up took a week off from his job to work on the game full-time, so we made tremendous progress in the school, bank, and bad end code.

We're overhauling the Bad End system rather thoroughly. In addition to path-dependent bad ends (like, say, disappointing Her Eminence Demetria II), we're adding in random encounters throughout the game that can end in you being, ah...

Like this, but with cock.

Also, as a note of personal pride, I wrote a bad end so dark that every member of the team, including myself, responded with “Jesus Christ”. So, with any luck, you'll be simultaneously masturbating and weeping. Which is why I became a writer, anyway.

Hey Gilgamesh, whether you support us or not, thank you for your interest in the project :) I know it's hard for you guys to not know what the game looks like, neither when you'll be able to see it. As we're not ready to release our first version, and neither able to tell you precisely when it will be, we decided to prepare a gameplay video to show you some part of the game. However, we are still not a big team, with not a lot of available time, so remember each hour we spend working on this kind of asset to please your curiosity, we're not working on the game, so it won't make the first release any sooner. This is the reason why we didn't do it already. We believe you guys support us to work on the game, and not on fulfilling everybody's personal wishes. The contest was not an exception to this rule, because it helped us raise awareness among artists about the project when we needed help on art assets creation. However, we understand your need to see more than a screenshot every now and then, so we started to work on the video. Making a good video is a project in itself, so it may postpone the game release by one month or two. Concerning our progress, we didn't make a detailed pic like we usually do because of the big refactoring we started. Indeed, as we mentioned in the August post, we get better at writing and coding since we started to work on the game, so we had to rework what was done at the beginning. The writing part took us a few weeks, but it's much more time consuming for the code part. If we had to show some progress bars, it would have been the same as July since we didn't work on new things before having the socle rebuilt. I hope I answered your question. It's sometimes hard for us to choose between going fast and improving quality, and then it's even harder to communicate about it without letting you know , wrongly, that we're not making any progress. We all work hard on this project we love, but as we can't work on it full time, things never go as fast as we want to. You can doubt the result will be as good as you imagine it, but you can't doubt we're putting everything we have in this project to make the game as great as we can :) Doodles
