I’m ecstatic to introduce to you a guest artist who will be creating the Bonus Card for November’s delivery! Please welcome: @Eleheba!
El Segal is an illustrator and fabricator whose artwork is centered around ornate detail, extensive symbolism, personal expression, identity, and Jewish culture. El has been a good friend of mine for several years, whom I had the privilege of knowing first through our mutual internet spheres and then in person while we both lived in Baltimore. I was incredibly jazzed when they expressed interest in creating something for the Merry Blackbird Postcard Society. Our work is very much holding hands when it comes to a love for intricate detail, bombastic framing devices, and the expression of personal identity.
November’s Bonus Card will be a collaboration between the two of us! They’ve created a stunning work in their typical black & white, and have given me the privilege of trying my hand at coloring it! El will be sharing their version shortly, and in the next few weeks I’ll reveal the full color version that will be included in all Raven Dandy deliveries for the month of November.
